Next week, we will continue our novel study focusing on “Book the Third” ofTale of Despereaux by Kate DiCamillo.  In reading, we will continue to focus on reviewing different genres that we have covered this year.  Please click here for the study guide.  Students will have a quiz on the different genres based off of this study guide on Friday, March 2. We will also celebrate Read Across America Day on March 2, in honor of Dr. Seuss!  We will review theme and create theme posters based on a few of his books.   Students may wear pajamas to school!

Students have been working on their Fractured Fairy Tale Project.  Next week, students will continue to write their final copy and will start to transform their final copy into an actual book!  Please check in with your student and encourage them to turn in their rough draft for editing if they have not done so already. This writing project will be on-going over the next few weeks.
