Learning at Home

Here are some sites that have different activities and games that you can use at home! Most of them are programs we use at school and can be accessed through the GISD Ready Hub. Some of them we use in school for station games, songs, and other resources! Keep checking back to see if more resources have been added! There are also links included in our weekly snapshot that don't always make it onto this page.

We have a lot of different websites and interactive practice that we use throughout the school week to work on various skills in reading and writing. However, with only having computer lab for 1 hour a week for reading, we are not able to visit every program that we would like to or that the students would like to! Your student is able to practice these skills at home on these programs by visiting the Ready Hub and logging in with their school account. Most of the programs below are in their Ready Hub and awaiting a login!

You can access it through Ready Hub, or by visiting Education Galaxy's main site.

Study Island is new this year! Students can practice their reading and writing skills through various questions and topics. This is a great resource to have your student practice skills they may be struggling with or to challenge them on a higher grade level! Flocabulary not only has cool raps about different topics in all content areas, but it checks for understanding through quizzes, reading passages with response questions, vocabulary cards and the opportunity to make your own topic rhymes! Visit the Ready Hub to access Flocabulary with your student’s log in and practice away!

Boom Cards are fun and engaging games to practice our current skills.  Every student has their own log-in and can earn "coins" while they play!
