Snapshot for November 12

 Snapshot for November 12
Next week, we will continue researching our Living Wax individuals.  We are encouraging students to bring books on their assigned individual to school to help them research this week.  If you have any books at home or access to a library, please feel free to send them to school inside of backpacks. We will be providing internet resources here at school.  Research notebooks will be will be due for a progress check on Monday, November 12.  We will also be introducing the next assignment of our Living Wax project, which is creating a timeline over their person’s life.

Students did a great job on their District Assessment.  Once they have all been graded we will communicate the scores with you.  J

Next week, we will move towards or informational unit.  Students will compare a fiction and an informational Thanksgiving passage and will work to apply their main idea and drawing conclusions skills to an informational text.  Students will get to solve a turkey mystery to find the stolen Tom Turkey on Thursday!  We will also review capitalization rules in grammar.

For homework, we will have our “Marvelous Memories” interview assignment due on November 16.   Due to the length District assessment, we will take our missed spelling test from this week, “Consonant Doubling When Adding an Ending” list, on November 12.
