Students did a great job on their District Assessment. Scores from the assessment and individual focus areas were sent home in student agendas today. A new technology incentive program was also sent home today, called “Thankful Turkeys”. This is an optional program to encourage students to practice their reading skills using our wonderful technology programs. Students can use Education Galaxy or Study Island to pull up activities based on their individual focus areas from the District Assessment. J
Next week, we will continue our informational unit. Students will continue to apply their main idea and drawing conclusions skills to an informational text. We will also study nonfiction text features. We will complete our review of capitalization rules and then move on to adverbs grammar.
For homework, we will have spelling due on Friday, Nov 30 over the Complex Consonants list. Timelines and orally presentations will be due on Tuesday, December 4.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
