Thank you to everyone who attended our Back-to-School Porch Party Night! It was great to see and meet you all! We are so excited to start this school year with you!
This week, we will start reading Back to School, Mallory by Laurie Friedman. We have limited copies of this text so if students have their own copies of this book at home, they are welcome to bring them to school. This week, we will focus on character traits and will focus on the changes we see the characters in our book undergo. In writing, we will start our personal narrative unit. We will also review ending punctuation and capitalization. In Social Studies, we will begin our Celebrate Freedom unit as we learn about the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights.
For homework, we will have our 100 minutes of at home reading assignment due on Monday, August 27.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
