These stations will allow students to practice these skills with STAAR formatted questions and “Minute-to-Win” styled activities.  Please see the optional practice links below and on portaportal.com.

This week students will review prepositions and prepositional phrases.  On Wednesday, students will complete the Flocabulary and Education Galaxy prepositions activity for a grade, however, students can access this activity early as a practice.

Please see the attached letter regarding the optional Reading At Home Technology Challenge! that we have started in ELAR!  As we prepare for our STAAR reading test, let’s see who can log the most time spent practicing reading skills at home! Welcome to the Amazing Race!

Welcome to the Amazing Race!

We kicked off our Fiction STAAR Prep with Amazing Race themed stations and activities!  Students had to race against the clock and around the world to complete different reading challenges.  Completing a reading challenge allowed you to complete in a “pit stop” competition.  If a student did not complete the challenge, they were able to “travel” back to that challenge to give it another try!  We will complete different legs of our Amazing Fiction Race for the rest of the week!
