Next week, we will continue our novel study focusing on “Book the Fourth” of Tale of Despereaux by Kate DiCamillo. Last week, a letter regarding the at-home Tale of Despereaux project went home as well. Click here to see the attached letter. The project is due on April 16, 2018. In reading, we will continue to focus on the reading skill drawing conclusions. Please see the optional practice links below.
This week students will continue their unit on persuasive writing. Please see the optional practice links below. They will also have time to continue their Fractured Fairytale Project.
Please see the attached letter regarding the optional STAAR Prep Incentive Program that we have started in ELAR! Thank you to everyone who is taking the time to complete these optional activities. Please see the classroom blog for easy access to these resources. These are great ways to help practice skills and get ready for the STAAR, which is just right around the corner.
The “Skip the Spring Break Slide” optional practice incentive sheet was sent home last week. This will help keep our skills fresh over the break. Please click here to see the attached letter. For homework, we will have our 100 minutes of at home reading assignment due on Monday, February 19. There is also an optional extra credit opportunity due on Monday, February 19. Please click here to see the attached document. Attached are the upcoming spelling and TFK Assignments as well. The “Consonant Doubling When Adding an Ending” spelling homework and quiz will be due on Thursday, March 29. The TFK quiz over “Food for Thought” will also be on Thursday, March 29. The real magazine will be sent home Monday, March 19, but the digital copy is attached.

March 20- Blue or Blue Kimberlin Shirt Day! WE Day Texas Field Trip to the C.C.C. Students will need a sack lunch packed in a clear, gallon Ziplock baggie. Please have it be completely disposable.
March 29- Spelling HW due, Spelling Test, TFK Quiz
March 30- No School! Student and Staff Holiday!
